I am an electronic musician and sound designer. I produce music with a Korg Polysix and Minilogue XD, plus Elektron Digitone, Digitakt, and Syntakt. Other gear I have owned, used, and respect includes the Arturia MicroFreak, the Yamaha DX11, Novation Circuit, Mono Station, and Bass Station. I use mainly Ableton Live but have used and love Nuendo, Cubase, and WaveLab; and Native Instruments Maschine, Reaktor, Massive, and FM8. I am a fan of the hybrid approach. I’m fascinated by digital sound synthesis and love analogue warmth, the commodity of digital equipment and the tone of vintage analogue gear. I use a Teac A-3440, a Revox B55, and have an Otari MX-5050 lying around waiting to be fixed. Combined with audio FX and pedals like the Nux Cerberus, TC Electronic Echo Brain (all-time favorite), UAfx Orion and Heavenly, Alesis Quadraverb, and Lexicon PCM70, they make up my small rack. I won’t mention VSTs, as there have been so many over the years.
